Military Growth Expected in El Paso

Extending Combat Tours in Iraq
Well, just got the news. Acting Army Secretary Pete Geren is considering extending combat tours again in Iraq. They are also considering adding to the role of Reservists once again.

Mail at Walter Reed Found in Storage
Like something out of a Seinfeld episode, the mail at Walter Reed Hospital is a little behind. Letters posted May 2006 are being delivered now.
Officials are still trying to determine the causes of the delay. Possible reasons are laziness and disorganization.

US Army to Hire 200 Psychiatrists
The US Army will spend $33 million do increase the mental professional personnel by 25%. An overwhelming number of soldiers showing signs of psychiatric needs has prompted the decision. The main trigger for this increase is the complaint of post-traumatic syndrome of soldiers returning from Iraq.
